I couldn't have started off further from floristry if I'd tried. After graduating in French and Italian and desperate to stay in London, I found myself in a headset, on the trading floor of a large French bank. Exciting and challenging yes, but creative and ultimately fulfilling, for me sadly, it was not. Ten years later, I'd had enough of doing what I didn't enjoy and I decided to try to find out what I did. I had dabbled in floristry after being let loose at my best friend's wedding, which left me with a wonderful feeling of satisfaction, it was creative, practical, really hard work and incredibly rewarding. So after some serious soul searching I decided to quit my job and enrolled myself on a floristry course at McQueens in East London. That was six years ago... since then I have worked installing flowers in some of the capitals most prestigious hotel lobbies, provided gorgeous wedding flowers for some lovely brides and created bespoke flowers for events and photo shoots. I feel very lucky to have found a job that I love and I hope that is reflected in my flowers. I would love to hear from you!
